I don't know how to say this, but a "blue moon" is not really blue. Hey, I didn't know either. Weather permitting, you will be able to see what is called a "seasonal blue moon" tonight.

Honestly, the color of this blue moon you will see is sort of a pale orange. The only way to see a true blue moon is if you live near an erupting volcano, like we all do, little joke. This full moon also indicates the end of a season; it's the third full moon in a series of four seasonal moons, got that? I think the only place they have blue moons without volcanoes is in the science fiction universe.

But you have to admit, it's still cool.
