Shooting Suspect Wanted in Owensboro Arrested in Arizona

A suspect in several recent shootings in Owensboro was arrested in Tempe, Arizona on an unrelated warrant and will be extradited to Kentucky.

27-year-old Willie "Dunas" Watkins will be served an Indictment Warrant for Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.

The main reason Watkins was located was the Owensboro Crime Stoppers tip line, 270-687-8484.

Because of this service, according to a news release from the Owensboro Police Department, the OPD was able to work closely with Arizona agencies in nabbing Watkins.

The release went on to sing the praises of this tip line saying "this case is a great example of how Owensboro Crime Stoppers continues to fulfill its mission."
