Obviously, I have no trouble going to sleep.  I  can sleep anywhere.  On my couch.  In a hat.  At the Malco Cinema 16.  In the middle of street festival complete with live bands and gun shots in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.  You name it.  I have fallen asleep at it.   I can literally fall asleep faster than a narcoleptic free-basing Benadryl.  But, I know a lot of people who really do have trouble going to sleep. A lot of trouble.  And WBKR Waking Crew's gossip maven Nashville Kat is one of them.  However, she recently stumbled across a home remedy call Sleepy Dust and it apparently works like a charm.  Here's the recipe . . .

Sleepy Dust
5 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon sucanat (this is unrefined sugar with all minerals intact that tastes like molasses)
2 teaspoons sea salt
Put the mixture in a baggie and shake well. Keep by your bed so you can easily reach it in the middle of the night. You can use it before you go to bed to get ready for sleep or when you wake up in the night and can't go back to sleep. The best way to use is stick your wet finger into the baggie and lick it off.

Kat says that earlier in the week she woke up in the middle of the night, took some Sleepy Dust and was out cold in less than 5 minutes.

Wanna give it a try?
