For the fourth year, Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church will be collecting new and gently used clean shoes during the month of October. Along with Soles 4 Souls, they plan to ship the shoes to Haiti and natural disaster victims in the United States and around the world.

Via their website, Soles4Souls is a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. The organization advances its anti-poverty mission by collecting new and used shoes and clothes from individuals, schools, faith-based institutions, civic organizations and corporate partners, then distributing those shoes and clothes both via direct donations to people in need and by provisioning qualified micro-enterprise programs designed to create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities. Soles 4 Souls is based in Nashville.

The church is asking for boots, high-heels, sandals and flip-flops and have a goal of 1800 pair of shoes! Can YOU help?!? If so, contact the church office at 270-683-5641 or drop the shoes off at 609 East 4th Street in Owensboro.
