The website WalletHub is at it again. They did give Kentucky schools high marks, however a new study conducted by the site finds speeders in the Bluegrass get off a lot easier than in other states.

Kentucky is tied for 40th on the list along with Ohio, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, and South Carolina. Indiana ranked 18th. The strictest state is Colorado. According to the study, Kentucky also has the lowest average maximum cost of a first time reckless driver, $100, while Indiana's maximum fine for a first time reckless driver is $1,000. The highest first-timer fine in the country is in Washingtion, $5,000.

Kentucky ranked way more lenient than our neighbors in Tennessee (30th) Indiana (18th) and Illinois, which came in second on the list. Also Kentucky does not have additional penalties for aggressive driving nor does it have automatic speed cameras.
