This is the 5th year that WBKR has been the media sponsor for the Susan G. Komen Bowl for the Cure in Owensboro.  And 2012 has proven to be a banner year as the event SOLD OUT!  On Thursday night, Team WBKR hit the lanes at Diamond Lanes South and it didn't take long for our competitive spirits to come out a blazin'.  So, naturally, Jaclyn and I teamed up and instantly starting throwing down challenges.  The first to accept, Dave Spencer, who paired up with Taunya the Intern!  Watch what happened in Round One!

Here at WBKR, we are lacing up our bowling shoes and getting ready for the Susan G. The 2011 Susan G. Komen Bowl for the Cure was held in Owensboro Thursday, August 4th and Friday, August 5th and, for the 3rd year in a row, WBKR was the presenting media sponsor for the event.  And, for the 3rd year in a row, the station sent teams to bowlers to Diamond Lanes South in the hopes 92.5 would be well represented in the land of strikes and spares.  Well, it didn't turn out that way!  You saw, in the video above, that Jaclyn was rolling an embarrassing 14 through four frames of her first game.  Could Chad, an accomplished "junior' bowler save the day and the station's reputation?  Uh . . . well, watch for yourself!

Owensboro's Bowl for the Cure is this Thursday and Friday and you what that means!  Dave Spencer, Jaclyn Graves, Steve Horn and I are going to be lacing up our bowling shoes and hitting Diamond Lanes South.  Owensboro's version of Bowl For The Cure has been expanding over the past couple of years and this year's edition is no different!  There are sessions at 5:30pm and 7:30pm on Thursday and Friday and they are FULL!  In fact, WBKR has THREE teams this year and we are all very excited to lace up our shoes and roll some strikes (well, hypothetically speaking!)
