Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has declared a local state of emergency due to extreme weather conditions. The drought like conditions coupled with high temperatures and little to no rainfall since early June have caused the city to ban the use of fireworks for seven days beginning at 5pm this evening June 29th.
