Clyde & Carsyn If you listen to my Midday Show, then you know how much Carsyn loves animals. Any animal... horses, bunnies, kitties, puppies and even unicorns, ha! She's been asking for a pet for a while and I finally decided that I was ready to get one. I knew that a puppy was the way to go... let's be honest, we haven't faired well with cats in the past.

When I walked in to work Thursday morning, Roxianne drug me to the computer to look at some new puppies that SparKy Rescue had ready for adoption. All it took was one look and I was ready to get that puppy!

Carsyn Experiences Disney On Ice [PHOTOS]

Carsyn does not do well with characters in full costume. Just this past Monday we tried to visit the Easter Bunny...epic fail. She saw a commercial for Disney On Ice a few weeks ago and reminded me often how much she wanted to go. Being that Disney On Ice is one of my favorite childhood memories, I couldn't wait to take her!

So, I shelled out the big bucks for the tickets just off the ice. I couldn't wait to see her little face light up when Ariel, Tinkerbell and the characters from Toy Story 3 skated past. Then, I remembered that she's basically terrified of this type of thing.

Oh my...what have I gotten myself into?!?

Carsyn's Easter Bunny Visit [PHOTOS]

As we all know, Carsyn does not do well with characters in costumes in person. We've never had a picture with Santa and just a few weeks ago, we had to leave the rodeo after being there for 30 minutes because of the clowns. So, I know what you're thinking,"You're crazy if you think she's going to take a picture with the Easter Bunny!" Haha! Well, I reaaaally thought this trip was different! You see, I have a picture of her at about eight months old with the Easter Bunny. She loves it! And, for the last month or so, has been talking about taking a new picture with him!

We were SO excited talking about going to TowneSquare Mall and hanging out with the fuzzy little fella! Monday night was the night we'd been waiting for! So, what happened?!? Did Carsyn take her picture with the Easter bunny??

Carsyn's Explanation For Leaving The Rodeo Early [VIDEO]

Saturday night marked an event that Carsyn had been looking forward to since we went last year... the Rodeo! Last March, we went to the Muhlenberg Ag Center to see the horses and she LOVED it! She seriously has been talking about it all year, so I just knew that we would have a blast Saturday night! Well, I was wrong!

Really wrong! In fact, we had to leave the rodeo about 40 minutes after being there. Even thou the rodeo clown had been out there the whole show, for some reason or another, she started to have a breakdown about him! And, not a fake fit... an actual tear-inducing breakdown! So, we left. Luckily, there was a nice cowboy on his way in the center who let her pet his horse, "Pistol". In her eyes, because of this, the trip to the rodeo was awesome, ha!

Why did she throw a fit over the clown? Well, I asked her and here's her response.... Watch and laugh!

I Am Losing My Mind…

Well, it's 10:57pm, Sunday night and my three year-old is up... screaming. Sh&t-fit, hissy-fit, call it what you want, but, I'm losing my mind!! Before I even get started let me say that this is all my fault. I'm woman-enough to admit that. But, I've counted to ten about a hundred times in the last two hours.

So, here's the deal... Carsyn REFUSES to sleep in her bed. Now, don't get me wrong, she loooooves the bed. But, sleeping in it is another story.

Carsyn Discovers Her Love For Makeup

Well, I knew if Carsyn were anything like her Momma, she would be a girly-girl. Looks like, she is, haha! For a good while now she has really been watching me put on my make-up. She always wants me to put some on her too, of course! Now, I'm not gonna let my three year-old walk around like she's on an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras, so she'd just get a teeny-tiny bit of blush and lip gloss.

For Valentine's Day her Meme gave her a special kit of make-up, just for her. Do you think she loves it? Well, on a scale from one to ten...she's at about a 14!!

Trunnell's Family Fun Acre is open and they've added some really fun new attractions this year to help youngsters "learn, play and grow!" One new attraction is the "feed the animals" attraction that let's you get up close and personal with goats, cows, rabbits and pigs! I recently got to hang out with the little piggies and feed them with a bottle. Watching them snort, push, shove and fight their way to the bottle reminded me a bit of someone I know. Here! My friend Danny Beeler at Heart of the City Design always takes AMAZING pictures of all of the big concerts around the Tri-State and I thought I'd give him some practice at taking pics of kids, ha!

Well, here we go again.... To say that cats have bad luck at our house in an understatement! (Anyone remember poor Pippa?!? Or know where she is??)
This morning when Carsyn and I were loading up in the car to go to pre-school we both heard a cat meowing. Well, after searching just about everywhere, we found it... a sweet little kitten hiding in the bushes. Of course we had to get it out, pet it, kiss it, sing to it and name it! So, please meet "Peaches".... and while you introduce yourself to her/him, maybe you should wish it Good Luck!

Like mother like daughter?!? Well, when it comes to singing, looks like this rings true! My little Carsyn LOVES to "sing on the stage like Mommy does". It's nothing for us to play "music" anytime, anywhere. Normally Carsyn tells me if I'm John, Benom or Miss Katie. (They are the bass player, drummer and singer/mean tambourine player in my band.)

Yes, we have fun! And, here she is singing one of her favorites, aside from Miss Miranda (Lambert), Jesus (Mariah Carey's Christmas record) and "I Just Can't Wait To Be King (The Lion King). Enjoy!

You just never know what's gonna crawl out from underneath your semi-perfectly-kept-if-you-look-at-it-from-the-road landscaping. Today, I found something pretty interesting! On my way out the door to pick up Carsyn from the sitter, I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I first thought it was a mole. After catching my breath, I thought to myself that my cat, Pippa would take care of it later on. (She's gotten 12 so far this year...good kitty!) Well, my curiosity got the best of me and I just had to look. It was most certainly not a mole!

Carsyn's Day At Reid's Orchard

Anyone close to the family knew. Yes. We all had a notion. We watched through the glass like outsiders window shopping at the asylum. We all had a sixth sense that this was coming. But I don't think anyone realized the impact that Jaclyn would have on young Carsyn would be THIS severe, THIS fast. And, then, the bombshell admission. Jaclyn looked me square in the eyes recently and broke the devastating news to Uncle Tad. Yes. To paraphrase the 80's song, she dropped a bomb on me. Dropped on a bomb on Uncle Tad. Carsyn has an imaginary friend. Cue the Psycho theme. Prep the straight jacket. Get a Sharpie and let Carsyn autograph the Girl Interrupted movie poster! Little Carsyn is off her rocker like Betty Crocker.
