August 5, 2011 The 2011 Susan G. Komen Bowl for the Cure was held in Owensboro Thursday, August 4th and Friday, August 5th and, for the 3rd year in a row, WBKR was the presenting media sponsor for the event. And, for the 3rd year in a row, the station sent teams to bowlers to Diamond Lanes South in the hopes 92.5 would be well represented in the land of strikes and spares. Well, it didn't turn out that way! You saw, in the video above, that Jaclyn was rolling an embarrassing 14 through four frames of her first game. Could Chad, an accomplished "junior' bowler save the day and the station's reputation? Uh . . . well, watch for yourself!
August 5, 2011 Last Saturday's BIG O MUSIC FEST was awesome and WBKR was proud to have MUDD RIVER UNION open the show! MUDD RIVER won our big talent contest, The Battle For The Big O, and earned the right to take the stage and kick-off the festival that included Sarah Darling, Steve Holy, David Nail, Jake Owen, Colt Ford, Chris Young and Dierks Bentley! Jaclyn and I caught up with the Muhlenberg-county-based band backstage to see if they were ready to take the stage! When we did, we also caught up with Jenny Beth Willis, lead singer of Straight Laced, who wowed the crowd with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem!

July 28, 2011 In response to Chad's video diary about her controversial STUMP THE CHUMPS question and victory from Wednesday, Janet Sidener stopped by the WBKR studios today with a can of Mountain Dew! Yesterday, Chad claimed that Janet's "head over heels" method of opening a shaken coke can was hogwash and that his method, the finger-flick method, was the REAL way to make sure a shaken can didn't spew carbonation all over the place! July 27, 2011 Hump Day on The WBKR Waking Crew means STUMP THE CHUMPS day! And, this morning's STUMP winner caused a bit of a stir! July 25, 2011 If you were tuned into Jaclyn's show last week or have been on WBKR.com this week, you know that Carysn (a.k.a The Big Fat Baby) turned two-years-old on Thursday! Because her cousin Tyler has a birthday quite close to hers, Jaclyn had a big party for the both of them on Sunday! And, yes, Uncle Chad was invited. Because I never turn down a potluck, free cake, and the chance to hang out with Jaclyn's crazy-a%$ family, I accepted the invitation and crashed the festivities. In spite of the fact that I was stung by a kamikaze wasp as soon as I got to Jaclyn's, things were going relatively well until I asked to wear Carsyn's princess crown. Then, the party hit a very sour note and little Linda Blair started spitting up pea soup and scaring priests!
July 20, 2011 I have been in Mexico many times but have never stayed for a prelonged period. When I used to live in San Diego all my visiting friends would want to head south of the border to Tijuana. Now, if you've never been there, picture this. Dirt, sweat, the smell of roasting pig, taxi cab drivers who drive like maniacs, people trying to sell you everything from blankets to sombreros to Chicklets, and bar owners screaming "Free margaritas for the ladies!!" It's awful! Thankfully, other parts of Mexico, like Cancun (where I was last week) are BEAUTIFUL! And I spent 8 days and 7 nights in a coastal paradise called LIVE AQUA!

June 24, 2011 All you have to do to know that Jaclyn Graves is a little crazy is tune into her each weekday from 9am to 2pm here on WBKR. Now, Jaclyn is one of my very best friends and I, because I have a long list of them as well, love all of her zany quirks. I know things about her even her husband and "lady" doctor don't know. So, I feel like I need to share some of those secrets with YOU! One thing you may not know about Jaclyn is that she is ALWAYS late! I used to think that Dave Spencer wrote the book on driving into the parking lot at 92 miles an hour because he was going to miss the start of his airshift! That is until I witnessed the day Jaclyn zipped into the parking lot (like she's freaking Danica Patrick) and rammed her GMC Acadia up in the middle of a tree!
