Chase Rice for St. Jude: Singer Carries Forth Late Father’s Love of Children

Chase Rice watched his dad go out of his way to bring smiles to the faces of kids in children's hospitals, and now he wants to do the same. And The Next Bachelor Is… Or At Least Should Be… Country

I've been a fan of ABC's The Bachelor for many, many years. Judge me if you want, but I think the show is completely entertaining. Sure, there haven't been many success stories to come out of the show, but I just can't seem to turn away. I'll be honest, I have stopped watching this season. No offense, but I'm kinda ready to move on to next season and I won't be explaining why. (My Mom always taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say, well, you know the rest, ha!)

While talking to Roxianne the Receptionist at work today, we've decided that The Bachelor needs a little country in it. So, we started brainstorming some possible guys to fill that rose... ugh, I mean that role. First, we needed criteria. Once that was set, the guys were slated. Well, do you agree with who we think should represent country music and be the next Bachelor?

CMA Music Fest 2013: The Cleverlys Perform “Gangnam Style” by Psy [Video]

While Jaclyn was lurking around the CMA Music Fest's Bud Light stage and drooling over country newcomer and Survivor:Nicaragua runner-up Chase Rice, I ditched her to catch my favorite bluegrass act in action on the Transitions Stage.  And The Cleverlys didn't disappoint.  The boys known for hilarious and uber-twangy covers of songs like "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and "I Gotta Feeling" kicked their set off right and tore into Psy's international hit "Gangnam Style."  And I had the camera rolling.  This is GREAT!

CMA Music Fest: Chad & Jac Catch Up With Newcomer Chase Rice [AUDIO]

CMA Music Fest is a great way to introduce yourself to new artists. I first heard of Chase Rice on Twitter and found out a few things... He co-wrote Florida Georgia Line's number one hit, "Cruise", he has a crazy underground-almost-Brantley Gilbert fan base and he's pretty easy on the eyes. (What, like you didn't see that coming from me, haha!)

So, Chad and I decided to check out his set on the Bud Light Stage Friday afternoon and caught up with him after the show. (PS... he puts on a heck of a show and I have a feeling he'll be on your local radio station very soon!)
