Hayley Payne, a singer-songwriter from Owensboro, recently released a new song called "Runnin Late." That song just got a shout out from CMT!

I always love to hear when one of our own from Owensboro finds success out in Hollywood.  It is even more exciting when I personally know them.

CMT Crossroads premiered in 2002 and offered fans the chance to see country stars mix it up musically with some of their favorite artists from the worlds pop, rock, r&b and more.

CMT was born on March 5th, 1983 at 6:19 PM and it was a big moment in country music.   The network chose to kick things off by airing a live clip of Faron Young's "It's Four in the Morning" as the channel's very first video. And we found it.  Look!

Every weeknight as a kid I couldn't wait for "Nashville Now" to come on with Ralph Emery it was a talk show type but with country music stars on every night on "The Nashville Network"  it was a channel basically like CMT is today. The nominees for the 2011 CMT Music Awards were announced Wednesday and Jason Aldean was THE MAN!  He lead all nominees with four . . . including nominations for Video of the Year ("My Kinda Party"), Male Video of the Year ("My Kinda Party"), Collaborative Video of the Year ("Don't You Wanna Stay"), and Best Web Video of the Year ("My Kinda Party"- Live).  A
