Last Saturday at Trunnell's Farm Market, nine WBKR listeners came to compete for the title ROD-IRON CHEF AMERICA! The challenge: to create an original recipe using at least one farm-fresh ingredient available at Trunnell's. We had a potato dish, Creole corn, a baked peach pancake, sloppy joes and cornbread, Janet's "Just Peachy" Cake and more! Everything was DELICIOUS!! Our judges had a difficult time choosing a winner, but did! And the 2011 ROD-IRON CHEF AMERICA is Brenda Davis from Hartford, who, along with her friend, Sue Austin, cooked up some delicious Chutney Chicken Sandwiches! And, there's good news for you guys!
