Yes, I admit, I had a thinkin' problem. Because, in 1994, when David Ball's "Thinkin' Problem" was released, I didn't THINK something that traditionally country would make it on the early 90s airwaves. Boy, was I wrong--to the tune of more than a million singles sold. And that's back when you had to actually go to a music store and buy the single. Now, I'm thinkin' he'll have quite a few fans arrive for his free shows this Friday and Saturday at the Hoosiers Lounge at Casino Aztar.

David Ball is 58 today. Do you remember his hit “Thinkin’ Problem”? I loved that song… still do. He is best known for the 2001 ghostly hit, “Riding With Private Malone” Jesse McReynolds is 82. Wow, he and his late brother Jim formed the band Jim & Jesse and the Bluegrass Boys in 1951.

As I was thinking of some songs to play this Memorial Day, a few obvious ones came to mind like "Some Gave All" by Billy Ray Cyrus, "God Bless the U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood, "American Soldier" by Toby Keith, and "If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw. That was off the top of my head. Then I started looking through our library and found some great ones I had forgotten all about.
