Saturday the world celebrated the beloved Dr. Seuss. Every year around the time of his birthday lots of America. Angel Here and I got to attend the celebration at Burns Elementary School.
Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday. Because his birthday fell on a Saturday this year, my friends at East View Elementary School decided to celebrate yesterday.
Dr. Seuss is one of my all time favorites! I love the Lorax and the lessons learned from this story. Mesker Park Zoo will be hosting a day dedicated to the book!
Angel and I were invited to East View Elementary School on Thursday to help celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday! And we sat down with some first-graders to read "There's a Wocket in my Pocket."
Today is National Read Across America Day and I decided to spend the morning in the library at Newton Parrish Elementary School. While I was there, Pancake Patty Moore (who's the librarian at the school) rounded up some students and we recited the National Read Across America Day oath. Check this out!
Today marks the 17th annual Read Across America Day. But here in Owensboro, celebrations got an early start with a huge Dr. Seuss-themed event at Towne Square Mall Saturday. And I was on hand to read the Dr. Seuss classic, The Lorax!
