Kelly Clarkson was in it to win it. She didn't. John Legend gave it a go with his two contestants. They fizzled out too. And Robin Thicke went down in flames early with his finalists. Regardless, it was an exciting night last night on Duets! The winner was announced after weeks of stiff competition and eliminations. And how cool is this? Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles sat in her judges' chair a nervous wreck. Why? Because her two contestants, John Glosson and J Rome, were the final two remaining on the show. Take a look as the winner was crowned!

I feel like we've been here before. I feel like I have made this confession before. But I have to own up again. Ya'll know I love Kelly Clarkson, right? I am a huge fan of her voice, her personality and her music and she's really the only reason I started watching ABC's talent search, Duets. That said, she's NOT the reason I keep going back. Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles is. Not only does Jennifer have the best contestant on the show (J Rome), but she is consistently showing the most range and versatility with her own voice. Yes. On this show (doomed as it is), Nettles is absolutely running away with the thing. Her duets with the show's front-runner, J Rome, are just spine-tingling. Check out last week's highlight . . . a chilling rendition of "I Will Always Love You."

This is beautiful! Last night on week 3 of Duets, Sugarland star Jennifer Nettles and her contestant John Glosson, teamed up for a powerful rendition of "How Great Thou Art." It was "inspirational song" night on the show and John chose to again sing the song that earned him a spot on Jennifer's team. Together, they completely knocked this out of the park!

While ABC doesn't necessarily have a big hit on its hands with Duets, there have been some fun moments on the tube's newest talent show. Each week, amateur contestants on the program get to take the stage and perform with the celebrity judges: Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Robin Thicke, and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles. And it was Jennifer who stole the show last week. Watch Jennifer and her contestant J Rome take on "You're The One That I Want" from Grease. While this could easily have been a train wreck, it was the highlight of Week Two and I'm hopelessly devoted to it! Check it out!

ABC's new talent competition, Duets, is back on the tube tonight for its second round of action. The celebrity judges, Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Robin Thicke, combed the country to find two duet partners a piece. And, last week, each judge joined their contestants on stage to have a sing off in the first round. Though he didn't finish first in the judges' scoring, the standout, for me, was John Glosson. Check out his version of Sugarland's "Stay" that he sang alongside Jennifer Nettles. This is terrific!
