Team Josh Fans like Moon and me are not happy campers this morning. Last night, on the American Idol results show, Joshua Ledet, the pride of Westlake, Louisiana, was voted off the show and wrapped up Season 11 in third place. Two contestants remain and the Idol finale is set. Phillip Phillips will battle Jessica Sanchez for the crown and our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, has the inside scoop on the voting and who he thinks will be the next . . . American Idol!

By the end of tonight's results show, there will be just two left standing . . . your Idol finalists who will battle it out at the mic next week for the Season 11 title. Last night, Jessica, Joshua and Phillip each tackled three songs a piece: a song of their own choosing, a judge's choice, and a song selected by Idol mentor, Jimmy Iovine. Last night, the final four contestants on NBC's The Voice sang for the title. And they had to earn it. Each contestant was charged with singing three different songs live: a duet with their coaches, a solo song, and an additional solo in which they performed a song made famous by their coaches. Team Blake finalist Jermaine Paul was in it to win it and rocked out his duet with Blake Shelton. Check out their performance of "Soul Man!"

If you were watching American Idol last night, it may have appeared that Fox meteorologist Ron Rhodes won the title! Because of severe weather coverage and the threat of tornadoes and damaging straight line winds, Ron was on the tube alot during the Idol finale! But that didn't stop the proceedings at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, where Scotty McCreery was crowned our latest champion! So, did American get it right? Tonight is the 10th season finale of American Idol and one thing is for sure . . . we're going to have a country star taking the title! Last night in the finale, my pre-season pick, Lauren Alaina, squared off against America's boy next door, Scotty McCreery! According to Idol's Facebook fan poll (posted BEFORE the show yesterday), Scotty was the winner by a country mile! But, last night, most agree that Lauren had the better night!
