Hi this is Steve Horn this is a tough pick for me, because as a kid I remember singing along listening to WBKR playing "Dixie On My Mind" by Hank Williams Jr. I even seen Hank in concert like 7 times. I'm still a real big fan of Hank but as I got a little older I started to enjoy the music of Conway Twitty like "Tight Fittin Jeans", "Goodbye Time" and many others... R

I would imagine when you have the kind of career that Hank Williams Jr. has had, you can find some type of career milestone anniversary almost every day of the year. Today is no exception for Bocephus. It was 25 years ago today that Junior received gold certification (500,000 in sales) for his "Hank Williams Jr.'s Greatest Hits, Volume 2."  Now, here's where you come in.

I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago that I was watching David Letterman when he announced that his musical guest was going to be gospel act The Blind Boys of Alabama. I was completely unfamiliar with this name. And Letterman often welcomes obscure musicians to perform--with mixed results, I have to admit. After watching The Blind Boys of Alabama, I had to admit I was blown away.
