This is HILARIOUS!! Saturday marked the 2013 Polar Bear Plunge at The Hines Center in Philpot and 200 plungers showed up to jump in the chilly, 22 degree waters of the Hines Center lake. Among them was Kizzy, who joined WBKR's team, Jimmy Parrot's Plungers. The cameras were rolling as Kizzy, decked out in a scuba suit, arm puffers and Korger bags, walked out onto the dock to prepare for her plunge. WATCH!

I have said it multiple times before . . . jumping into a freezing-cold lake is the single WORST idea in history and the single-worst way to raise money for a charity. LOL! But, you know what! We're doing it anyway and we are going to have a blast. :) The 2013 Polar Bear Plunge is coming up Saturday, February 9th at The Hines Center in Owensboro and we are truly going to be "freezin' for a reason." All proceeds from the Plunge benefit Special Olympics Kentucky. Wanna know how crazy this event is? A couple of years back, Moon and I were dared to eat sardines live on the air. And it didn't go really well. Moon bought a can of sardines that were coated in mustard and they were gnarly! Mine were coated in some kind of olive oil or sesame oil or peanut oil or motor oil! Whatever it was, they were just as bad as Moon's! But, we accepted the challenge, ate the sardines and paid for it the rest of the day. We both smelled like the coast of Maine for about 24 hours. So, we decided that it was time for Jaclyn to face her fears . . . and eat a nasty old sardine!
