Last year, Jimmy Wayne was a world-beater--or, at the very least, a nation beater--as he walked a 1700-mile journey to raise awareness of the issue of foster children who age out of the foster care program and may become homeless. He began on January 1, 2010 in Nashville and finished in Phoenix. Jimmy, himself, spent a great deal of time as a young man in foster care. And now, that pilgrimage will be the focus of a new documentary.

Saturday night, about 400 WBKR listeners traveled down to Nashville to see The Show That Made Country Music Famous! Yep! It was WBKR Night at the The Opry and our listeners were out in force to see a great line-up that included Jimmy Wayne, Darryl Worley, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and a handful of Opry legends!
