After Kentucky beat Michigan, after all the interviews, after all the guys and the coaching staff had climbed the ladder and cut down the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional nets, John Calipari said this to his team in the Lucas Oil Stadium locker room:
EATING BIG BLUE CROW
EATING BIG BLUE CROW
EATING BIG BLUE CROW
Pass the salt. I'm eating crow for dinner and it needs a little jazzing up. And the reason, you may wonder, for my culinary decision sprang forth from Kentucky's 74-69 win over Louisville in Indianapolis Friday night.
HE LIKES ME, HE REALLY LIKES ME
HE LIKES ME, HE REALLY LIKES ME
HE LIKES ME, HE REALLY LIKES ME
It's a long-held belief that Kentucky coach John Calipari and Louisville Cardinals coach Rick Pitino hate one another. I've never really believed that; I've always thought the subtle jabs, if that's what they were, were for show.
ALL IN A 'TWEAK'S' WORK

ALL IN A 'TWEAK'S' WORK
I saw Kentucky look really bad in January when they lost to LSU in Baton Rouge. I saw Kentucky forced into overtime to beat LSU by one point at Rupp Arena in February. Then I saw Kentucky draw LSU for its SEC Tournament quarterfinal matchup.

So THAT'S it. He's got a sore hip! Just kidding. John Calipari is absolutely not blaming the fact that he's been dealing with hip pain on ANYthing. And no one would expect that.

Okay, so I think we can safely say that "meeting LSU for a third time in the SEC Tournament" is not on the Kentucky Wildcats' wish list. Not after the 'Cats barely edged the Tigers 77-76 in a Rupp Arena overtime classic.

The Kentucky Wildcats returned to their winning ways Tuesday night with a 70-55 victory over a then undefeated Boise State. However, I noticed something a little different about sophomore center and blocking machine Willie Cauley-Stein. What started as a blond shock has turned into a full-on blond head of hair. In a post-game interview, inquiring sport writers just had to know why? And the explana

While Kentucky's 81-63 victory over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday afternoon can be classified as a blow-out, it took the 'Cats and entire half to figure the Eagles out. They only led by three at the break.

It's been a while since we've heard any speculation about UK head basketball coach John Calipari leaving Kentucky for an NBA job. When he was hired in 2009, tongues immediately began to wag about such a move before one game was even played in his first season.

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo compares tonight's Champions Classic in which his Spartans will take on Kentucky and Duke will battle Kansas to a Final Four. I think it's better than most Final Fours, which seldom feature four teams ranked in the Top 5.

About a month and a half ago, I blogged about the Kentucky Wildcats' basketball team and was then asked why, since we were just a month into football season. Well, after watching the 'Cats chalk up their fourth SEC loss against the team (Mississippi State) they had the best (although not great) chance of beating, I say basketball can't get here quick enough.

He talked about being impressed with his young team's abilities. He talked about his dream of coaching a 40-0 team. He even mentioned White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. Ah, it must be a John Calipari press conference.
