Angel Here! My husband, Joe and I were driving through Wesleyan Park Plaza Sunday and I glanced at the old Kmart building and it hit me I know exactly what Owensboro needs!

Last Friday we posted the question:  What should go in the former Kmart Building on West Parrish Avenue.  Several people chimed in.  Here are the answers!

In April, we shared news here at WBKR.com that Kmart had plans to close five stores in Kentucky this year.  And now, a new report from Business Insider suggests that employees of the company fear that many more stores will follow.  In fact, according to some folks who work for the brand, ALL Kmart stores may eventually be shut down.

We have already said goodbye to our Sears store inside Towne Square Mall in Owensboro.  And, now, the chain has announced it's closing additional Sears and Kmart locations throughout the nation.  In fact, five Kmart stores in Kentucky are shutting their doors.  Are the Owensboro stores going to survive the newest round of cuts?

The day after Thanksgiving, also known as "Black Friday," is when a lot of stores open at midnight. It officially kicks off the Christmas shopping season and all the major stores give the public incredible deals on just about everything from toys to electronics and more! I've never participated in Black Friday and this video highlights why I stay home. For all those who plan on braving t
