I think it's safe to say that people all over the country were extremely touched by the life of Lane Goodwin. We all watched he and his family fight the monster of childhood cancer. We celebrated during the good days and our hearts were broken when he passed away in October.

In lieu of flowers or a balloon release, the family requested sentiments be in the form of gift cards to certain stores. They planned to purchase toys for the children being treated at the Vanderbilt Children's Oncology Clinic. A few weeks ago... that's just what they did!

WBKR A Collection Site For Lane Goodwin Donations

The family of Lane Goodwin, via Facebook, requested that in lieu of flowers being sent to the funeral services, for those wishing to donate, do so in terms of giftcards from Target, Walmart, ToysRUs or Dollar General. Toys will then be purchased and donated to the Vanderbilt Children's Oncology Unit for the children at Christmas. There will also be a collection bin at the funeral services.

You may bring your gift cards to the WBKR Studios (3301 Frederica Street, Owensboro) Monday and Tuesday, between 8:00am-5:00pm.
