Strange Super Bowl National Anthems [Video]

Today, the performance of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl is just as big a media spectacle as the half-time show and the game itself. Huge stars are asked to deliver rousing renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" as the whole world watches to see if they mess up the words, lip-synch or perform live. In the last few years, we have seen amazing renditions by Kelly Clarkson, The Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and Jennifer Hudson. Way back in 1993, even Garth Brooks stepped up and swung for the fences. But, historically, there have been some STRANGE choices and some really bizarre renditions at The Big Game. WATCH!

After the Big Game, Kelly Clarkson told her Facebook friends that she had never been so nervous in her life. But you couldn't tell it. Ya'll know that Kelly Clarkson is my woman. And my woman is singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI. That's all kinds of good news. First of all, we finally have a singer who won't pull another Christina Aguilera moment and botch the words. And secondly, we have recruited a singer who can actually SING that song. In fact, Kelly is a PROFESSIONAL anthem singer! This won't be her first time singing the "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a huge sporting event. She's laid it out in the NFL before as well as the 2010 World Series, the 2011 NBA Finals, and the 2011 Indy 500.
