Look what I found at Ollie's!
It's a really fun cookbook that pays tribute to the South and to the deliciousness of the pig. I bought the Southern Foodie's Guide to the Pig to build my Christmas Eve dinner around and was surprised when I opened it up and found some pages dedicated to a popular Owensboro restaurant.
In New York City last week, I was hungry and popped into Virgil's BBQ on 44th Street. Naturally, I was quite surprised to see a very familiar name on my placemat.
I am awarding WBKR Sales Manager Traci Davis the "Golden Smoke Pit." It's a hypothetical award because it doesn't physically exist; she'll never receive anything she can sit on her desk next to the computer. But anyone who brings in Old Hickory barbecue for lunch deserves SOMETHING. Even if it's mythical.
