It's finally here! The Daviess County Relay For Life is TONIGHT at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort. The event begins at 6pm and continues through 6am, Saturday the 18th. This is my fourth year as Relay Chairperson in Daviess County and this is our fourth consecutive year at Diamond Lake. And we are thrilled with this year's list of special guests and performers. Owensboro Mud Run Winners List 2013

Up, Down and Dirty For a Cure is in the books! And Owensboro's first-ever Mud Run was a HUGE hit. Hundreds tackled the boot camp-inspired course last weekend at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort and a handful blazed through it. While I ran the course, kissed the ground at the finish line, then immediately ran to the Atmos Energy grill to get a hamburger, others took the course VERY seriously. And they just KILLED it! The 2012 Daviess County Relay For Life is tonight at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort. This will be the third year in a row the event has been held at Diamond Lake's go-cart track and we're fully expecting breaking attendance records for a 3rd straight year. I am pleased to serve as the chairperson of this great event (alongside by buddy, Jason Abney) and we and the committee have been hard at work for months to make this year's Relay in Daviess County the biggest and best yet. Ladies! Thursday night is Ladies Night Out at Buffalo Wild Wings at Towne Square North. And, this edition will be our annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, which is coming up Friday, May 18th at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort. In addition to giving you the chance to win some cool Ladies Night Out prizes, we are going to be raising money for charity. We'll have Relay For Life shirts available, a silent auction with some great items up for bid, plus the chance to win a Big O Music Festival prize pack. Wednesday, Jaclyn and I celebrated Grocer's Day at Houchen's IGA on 25th Street in Owensboro. In fact, there were American Cancer Society teams at every Houchen's location in the area selling pink ribbons for ACS' breast cancer research programs. WBKR is a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society and its two primary fundraisers each year, Relay For Life and Making Strides. So, naturally, Jaclyn and I volunteered to visit Houchen's and bag groceries for charity. But, because we are the poster-children for ADHD, we got completely distracted and hotwired the motorized carts. Let the drag race begin!!
