This kid is not good. She's great! 10-year-old Skylar Cain will join WBKR and Bobby Wilson's Furniture Friday night for The Six Pack at Diamond Lake's Good Time Theatre. As a matter of fact, Skylar, just a couple of weeks ago, performed "God Bless America" at Diamond Lake to help kick off the 2013 Daviess County Relay For Life. Check out her performance! One week from tonight. Six awesome musical acts. One stage. Here at WBKR, we are VERY excited about The Six Pack! It's a brand new concert we're having at Diamond Lake's Good Time Theatre on Friday, May 31st. The show will feature some of the best local and regional talent around and will hosted by our very own, Jaclyn Graves. And she'll be joined by Insulated, Katie Beste, Skylar Cain, Daniel Epperson, and Butler County's Kyle Whitaker. I first met Kyle when he joined us this year for our St. Jude Radiothon. At the Aspire to Stardom Talent Competition over the weekend in Clarksville, Tennessee, Owensboro singing sensation Skylar Cain "Let 'Er Rip." Literally! Her performance of the classic Dixie Chicks song earned her first place among hundreds of contestants. We have video of her performance and a list of what she won. You won't believe how well she sang and how much cash this kid pocketed for besting the field! Take a look!

Okay, Gang! 9-year-old singing sensation Skylar Cain needs YOUR help. She is one of five finalists in a National Anthem contest sponsored by one of our sister stations in Evansville, WJLT. We have featured Skylar here at WBKR.com before and recently invited her to perform at our 2013 Denim & Diamonds fundraiser for St. Jude. This kid has some massive pipes and we want to help her win the contest so she can rock out "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Ford Center.

9-year-old singer Skylar Cain is making quite a name for herself. Over the summer she sang at the Nashville Palace during the CMA Music Festival. She was a featured guest at WBKR's The Battle for the Big O finale and she's slated to sing at Pumpkinfest this coming weekend. But how cool is this?? After recently placing 4th at a talent contest in Clarksville, TN, Skylar got an invitation to have lunch with Kix Brooks. And, naturally, she's pretty excited about it. LISTEN!

Saturday night's finale for the Battle for the Big O is already a star-studded line-up. That night, eight phenomenal tri-state music acts will fight for the chance to win $500 and open for Blake Shelton at the 2012 Big O Music Festival at Reid's Orchard in Owensboro. And now, WBKR is pleased to announce a very special guest performer who will be keeping the audience entertained while our judges deliberate and choose the winner. Yep! The 41st Annual CMA Music Fest just wrapped up a week ago in Nashville and it was another sell-out year. Just about every country music superstar and up-and-comer you can name was in Music City meeting with fans and entertaining crowds. And this is really cool. Skylar Cain, a 9-year-old country gal from Philpot (just outside Owensboro), was there too! She got to sing at the Nashville Palace and her mom sent us some shots of Skylar in action. Take a look!
