16th Annual Trek to Benefit St. Joseph’s Peace Mission for Children is THIS Sunday [Video]

I am gonna do it!  I have emceed this event for years and Sunday, for the first time ever, I am actually going to attempt the Trek!  Yep!  I am gonna RUN 13 miles from Calhoun to West Louisville.  And, yes!  It appears that I am clearly out of my mind, but trust me when I tell you this event . . . this annual Trek that folks take by foot or by bike . . . is for a great cause.  A couple of years ago, I caught up with founder David Yewell on the Trek course and asked him how the event got started.  Check this out!

Chad and The Girl Scouts Among Participants in Annual TREK [Video]

The 15th annual TREK to benefit the St. Joseph's Peace Mission for Children took place yesterday.  Each year, the event kicks off at First Security Bank on the river in Calhoun and wraps up on HWY 56 at David Yewell's home.  David started this TREK 15 years ago and it has grown into an impressive annual tradition and fundraiser.  TREK is a challenging but exhilirating 13-mile bike, walk and run and participants of all ages tackle the course.  Yesterday, I encountered a local Girl Scout troop biking along for a great cause and I even managed to hitch (okay, steal!) a ride on a bike.  Check it out!
