WBKR's fiddle playing buddy Randy Lanham stopped by to share his thoughts about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and our WBKR-Poole's Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon. He played a rousing version of AMAZING GRACE and STAR-SPANGLED BANNER, both played in an amazing fashion.

We are well on our way to a new record (I hope I didn't jinx it) in our WBKR-Poole's Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon. We thank Kohl's, Dr. Vora's Medical Center and others for allowing their employees to help us out.

On the WBKR-Poole's Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon Matt Gray appeared guitar in hand to provide backup for Jaclyn's live version of "Dreamer", the new, original music Chad wrote for this year's event. Thanks, Matt for all you do for us each year at Gray Sky Music...

Dr. Vora's Owensboro Medical Center is sponsoring our phone bank. Many of the employees have been here volunteering to answer the phones for us yesterday and today. Thank you Dr. Vora and staff.

On this first hour of the second day of the WBKR-Poole's Pharmacy Care, Chad told the story of Colin, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor on her second birthday. Chad was there at the orientation in January 2010, when Colin's dad Ian told their story. Watch a portion of it here. Then, last year Ian was back at the 2011 orientation running around from table to table.

WBKR and Poole's Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon continues at 6 a.m. this morning. Yesterday, Keith Arnold from Poole's Pharmacy Care in Owensboro and his daughter Kamryn dropped by at the end of the day and to make a donation. Kamryn gave us $10 from her savings.
