While scanning thru my emails last night, this one caught my attention, "Sports Ticket Alert: Super Bowl XLIX". Hmmm, just how much are tickets for the big game? Yowzers...Some ticket prices are a little too close to my yearly salary, ha! Take a look! Seriously, how do people afford to go to the game?

I decided to make a quick trip home and I had an idea. I'll make copies of each team's logo and show them to my niece Zoey and see which one she likes better. Okay, short story, this is actually take 2. I used my sister's iPad for the first take and there was less than 20 percent on the battery, therefore, I couldn't get it to upload. The Super Bowl has quickly become more than just a football game. It's about the grandeur of the night, the entertainment during halftime and of course, the commercials. It's the one night of the year where three of my favorite things are all together... football, good eatin' and music! Yep, the Super Bowl! Tonight, during the Sunday Night Football game, they made the big announcement about the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl XLIX and I am PUMPED!!

Grand opening weekend for the Owensboro Convention Center is going to be action-packed.  In addition to the opening gala with country music star Sara Evans and the grand opening on Saturday, officials are pulling out the stops for the first Sunday.  Football fans, listen up!  Folks at the convention center are planning a HUGE Big Game Party and are  mounting large screen TV's throughout the center

Commercials are just as much a part of the spectacle of the Super Bowl as the Big Game itself.  And, last night, situated in the sea of ads was this gem from Dodge.  Paul Harvey's famous "God Made a Farmer" was resurrected and morphed into one of the most memorable commercials in years.  WATCH!

After the Big Game, Kelly Clarkson told her Facebook friends that she had never been so nervous in her life.  But you couldn't tell it.  Just before Super Bowl XLVI, Clarkson walked onto the field at Lucas Oil Stadium and just slayed the National Anthem.  If you missed it or just want to hear and see it again, here you go!
