The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission announced yesterday The Charlie Daniels Band will be coming to the Beaver Dam Amphitheater on Sunday, May 14 for the Summer Series.

One of the most popular parts of the Kentucky State Fair each year is the Turf Concert Series at Cardinal Stadium field.  The concerts in that series are FREE with gate admission to the Fair.  And this year, country music legend Charlie Daniels and rock icon Joan Jett headline the line-up.  Here's the full schedule!

I love to turn on the TV and see one of my favorite movies pop up in the cable listings.  Yesterday it was The Aviator, love a Scorsese film!  But tonight, the stakes were raised when I saw Urban Cowboy was coming on.  I was raised on a lot of movies my parents were fond of and this is definitely one of them.
