Items like the eye patch that he wore in 1969 "True Grit"  sold for over $40,000. The "Green Berets" brought in the most money with a single item valued at over $179,000.  John was in over 200 films spanning nearly 50 years, he had a total of 7 kids from his marriages and 15 grandchildren.
