It's that time of year when networks announce their fall TV line-ups and...they announce which shows won't be coming back. We all know it's tough to juggle all of our favorite shows; our DVRs can only hold so much. Most of the time, the shows that meet a dark fate were probably expected to, but the ones we love, it's almost too hard to hear. Okay, I'm talking about me, but let's take a look at what did and what didn't survive the axe.

As you likely know by now, our former intern, Sam Moore, is in the running for a television gig! Yes! We assume he just decided that he didn't have the face for radio after all! LOL. But, in all seriousness, Sam is one of 15 semifinalists still in the running for a guest-hosting gig with Kentucky Sports Television. During the semifinal round, Sam made an appearance on the show and that appearance is now put to the public vote! And that's where you come in . . .

On last night's episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Star Jones (who I like to now refer to as "Satan's Sister") made a very interesting and personal admission. She LOVES her some John Rich! And, the girl ain't even playin'! Given the fact that this show has made me a huge fan of John Rich and I now consider us to be friends, I feel like, as his new BFF, I owe him some advice. American Idol is down to its version of the Final Four and, last night, James, Lauren, Hayley and Scotty took the stage twice to battle for a spot in the Final Three. In Round One, the contestants took on songs that have inspired them. In Round Two, they got an assist from Lady GaGa with the songs of Leiber and Stoller. So, who was "in it to win it" as Randy Jackson says? And whose dreams of making the American Idol finale will end? Celebrity Apprentice: The Final Four

This season of Celebrity Apprentice has been FULL of massive throwdowns and fights. (And it has been freakin' AWESOME!!) First, the ladies railed against that shrew Dionne Warwick and got her sent home. Then, Meatloaf snapped on that fruitcake Gary Busey and nearly ripped his head off! And, then . . . NeNe Leakes got all up in Star Jones' face and told her she was going to take her down! As Star cowered under the oppression of a Real Housewife of Atlanta, NeNe asked the question heard round the world, "Now, where's Barbara Walters?" (That moment was ghetto-fabulous and I've told all my friends I'm gonna get that catchphrase on a T-shirt!) This season has been HILARIOUS and the stage is set for an epic fight to the finish. And country star John Rich is STILL in the mix! And, by golly, he's a contender!

Country's aspiring sweetheart let her nerves keep her from making all the right moves and hitting all the right notes in "Unchained Melody" on Wednesday night and she nearly paid the price for it on Thursday night. American Idol Review: The Top Five!

With five contestants left on American Idol, the stakes are raised! And, last night, each contestant had to take on two songs . . . one from NOW and another from THEN! For me, the performance of the night belong to James Durbin. I thought his performance of "Without You" was powerful and moving. Any rocker who cries while he sings earns my vote. Okay, correction. He earns my 52 votes. (I think I sprained my text finger last night. LOL!) But what does our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, think about the show and who its star was?

Are you watching this season of Dancing With The Stars? It's arguably the closest season we've ever had on the show. (Look at me! I said "closest season WE'VE ever had!" Like I'm Tom Bergeron or Brooke Burke or something!) But the latest batch of Disco Ball-hopefuls is truly running neck and neck. Each week, the scores are SO CLOSE and it's been really hard to name a frontrunner! But, I think we have one emerging . . .

Yesterday afternoon, American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe "tweeted" that there was going to be a shocker on Thursday's results show! I immediately thought to myself, because he was so mediocre the night before and performed first, that Casey was doomed. I could tell by Nigel's "tweet" tone that he thought the result was going to floor the audience. But I guess he forgot that THE AUDIENCE voted Casey off! But Nigel and the judges weren't having it . . .

Motown Philly Back Again!

Last night on American Idol, your Top 11 contestants tackled the music of Motown and viewers, while skeptical going in, were treated to a show jam-packed full of good performances. Usually on this show, there's a pretty definite line between "safe" and "see ya!" But not last night. It's as if all the contestants realized that good performances Wednesday could make them a lot of money on your this summer! After all, it's Idol's Top 10 who hit the road!
