White Flag Event

We can't seem to shake winter here in the Tri-State. Oddly enough, the first day of Spring on the calendar is this coming Monday. Bitterly cold temperatures tonight into tomorrow morning have determined a White Flag event.

Owensboro/Daviess County will have a nighttime warming shelter available from tonight through Monday night. The National Weather Service says conditions merit a White Flag Event due to wind chill factors near and below zero degrees.

Due to dropping temperatures beginning this afternoon, the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency has issued a White Flag for tonight through Tuesday night.
