Drinkin' songs are a country music staple. Songs about whiskey, songs about wine. They've all climbed the charts. And then you have songs about beer. I've done some digging, and, in chronological order, here are country songs that have hit the Top 40 that are not only about beer, heck, they START with beer! "Beer Drinkin' Music" by Ray Sanders, "Beer and Bones" by John Michael Montgomery, "Beer Thirty" by Brooks & Dunn, "Beer Run" by George Jones & Garth Brooks, "Beer for My Horses" by Toby Keith & Willie Nelson, "Beer Man" by Trent Willmon, "Beer in Mexico" by Kenny Chesney, and the most recent--"Beer on the Table" by Josh Thompson. And you will hear that one Saturday when Josh joins that other Josh, Josh Turner, Casey James, Glen Templeton, and Straight Laced at the Taste of Country concert at Ellis Park. Gates open at 4:30. Your $25 tickets will be available at the gate or you can beat the lines and get them at the WBKR studios. We'll see you Saturday!
