Taylor Swift’s ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ Lyrics [Video]

We debuted the new Taylor Swift song,  ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together‘ yesterday and now,  less than 24 hours later, she’s released a fun lyric video. You can sing along now.

According to Taste of Country's Alanna Conaway, the visuals and graphics in the animated lyric clip fit the song’s youth-centric theme and help deliver the ultimate verbal kiss off to a significant other who has wronged you, yet suddenly wants to rekindle the flame and reunite. Swift (and her song) aren’t having any of it.

‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ lyric video’s robust images are in keeping with that sort of energy. Swift’s tunes are always so lyrically-driven, and this song is no different. And the visuals are as big as the catchy chorus, actually! The definitive declaration that the relationship is over and not being resurrected is delivered in bold markers, by an old-fashioned typewriter, in a grade school composition book, on a small-scale play stage and on vinyl records. It’s all shapes and sizes of papers, suggesting that the message needs to be delivered — loud and clear — in black, white and color.

Just like the song itself, the ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ lyric video pops. The words jump off the page in all sorts of letters and fonts, like a well-done art project.
