The Taylorsville Police Department are now assisting the Kentucky State Police, the FBI, and the Bardstown PD in the search for the person or persons responsible for the death of Officer Jason Ellis last month.

The murder occurred May 25th on the Bluegrass Parkway--very near the city of Taylorsville. Officer Todd Walls of the Taylorsville Police Department calls it a "wake-up call."

Walls and his fellow officers have changed the way they police the community in light of the killing, always making sure another policeman has back-up, if he or she needs it, even at the most routine stops.

A six-figure reward is still on the table for anyone with tips about the murder of Officer Ellis, and anyone who can provide a tip should contact Kentucky State Police Detectives.
