This is one of my favorite photos so far of the Olympic Games!  How awesome is this?  Carmelita Jeter knew Team USA was running fast in the women's 4 x 100m Relay.  And, when she crossed the finish line, she realized they had gunned down the world record.  Look at her!  I love this!  She pointed at the scoreboard right as she crossed the line.  Jeter and her teammates, Allyson Felix, Tianna Madison and Bianca Knight, ran the event in 40.82 seconds and shattered a world record that had stood since 1985.  The race was freaking unbelievable and the Americans just beat down their archrivals, the Jamaicans.  In doing it, they silenced their critics as well.  In this particular relay, Team USA  historically has been plagued by bad baton passes and DNF's.  But not in London.  They ran the PERFECT race.  And Jeter put a big old exclamation point on it as the USA claimed gold in this event for the first time since 1996.  Ka-Bam!
