This is interesting. The Tennessee General Assembly is one of eight state legislatures considering in order for high school seniors to graduate, they must pass a citizenship test.

The legislation would require students who attend and graduate high school January 1, 2016 to take a 100 question civics exam and to get at least 60 questions correct in order to get a diploma. Schools would also have to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to pass the exam, in other words, no passage, no diploma.

The other states considering a similar bill include: Arizona, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.
