No sooner did I get on the air Wednesday afternoon than I was told about a rumor spreading about a lock down at Daviess County High School.

I said nothing on the air until I got some sort of confirmation which came later that afternoon in the form of the following press release from the Daviess County Sheriff's Department:

A terroristic threatening note was written on a bathroom stall at Daviess County High School. The note stated that a shooting was going to take place at 2:30. The note was found by school personnel around 2:00PM. The SRO and school administrators were notified. The school was placed in a lock down status and Daviess County Sheriff's Office deputies patrolled the school until time for the school's release. The Daviess County Sheriff's Office will continue to investigate the terroristic threatening incident.

No further information has been released about the incident, as of this writing.
