I think we've all got it when it comes to texting while driving. The concept is so ridiculous that it's hard to believe you actually have to tell people they shouldn't do it.

Well, texting while walking also has its perils, as a woman in Great Britain learned the hard way.

Now, when I drive, I'll occasionally just turn the phone off because it's sometimes second nature to just reach for your phone when a text comes in. I don't need the distraction of wondering what's in the text I just got.

But I've never had any issues while walking. And I've certainly never been so engrossed in a text that I walked right into a canal.
