The 2016 WBKR St. Jude Radio Thon – The Final Results

What an amazing couple days it has been here at the WBKR Radio Studios.  We have raised a lot of money for this amazing cause and it is because of you.  We want to thank you, the listener, for helping these kids out at St. Jude.  It's because of you..... that we raised $203,352.  Thank you all so much.

We have two days straight of pure emotion in this radio station.  There are a lot of tears and a lot of smiles in these two days.  Most importantly there are a TON of people around here that want to donate to a hospital that cares so much about the children that walk through their hallways.

Thanking our phone bank volunteers here!!  Everyone in that little room in there answering phones for two days straight!!  YES!!  Thank you so much for volunteering your time to get all of these people signed to become new Partners in Hope.

So we know that you love donating to St. Jude but there is something else that you love too.  You love to EAT.  Jerry Morris and the Angels for Ashley Cooking team showed up today and they go hard for 2 days straight too.  They don't quit and they have never let weather get in the way of raising money.  Now they fooled us a little bit however... the biggest year for Jerry Morris yet.  He raised an astounding $53,000.  OVER FIFTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS.  It is honestly magic what these people are doing to help raise money for St. Jude.  It is extremely emotional when that cooking teams walk down the halls and dump an enormous bag or a bucket in this case of money on the floor.  This is monumental.  God bless Jerry Morris and his cooking team.

A lot of things have happened in the last two days.  We had ourselves a record breaking hour while Emily and Mark Shelton.  They set a goal of one hundred new Partners in Hope and they did just that.  It is so incredible how things can work so well when we get together.

We have to thank Brad DeHart for his amazing cookbook that has sold in tons of states and even other countries.  He raised over $5,000 for St. Jude.  He is the man.

Gavin Howard raised over $4,000 by selling his t-shirts.  We have had him with us for the last several years and it has been insane.  A huge thank you goes out to that little guy.

We can't thank you enough for what you have done for St. Jude over the last two days.  is an enormous amount of money.  All of our guests, performers and volunteers drive every second of each day for the Radiothon.  The hard work and dedication that Chad and Jaclyn put into these couple days is monumental.  God bless you all.  And we'll see you next year.
