Why wait for that big shiny ball over Times Square when you enjoy the big balloon drop at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History's Noon Year's Eve!

The 11th annual event happens Saturday at the museum downtown and festivities will begin at 9:30AM.

Noon Year's Eve typically does happen on NEW Year's Eve, but this year, that's Sunday, so everything's been moved up 24 hours.

The kids are gonna LOVE it!

They'll get a chance to make their own noise makers and party hats. They'll get to hang with live characters and have their pictures taken.

Live music will be provided by DJ Chad Gesser.

Mitch Luman, who is the Dorothy and George Eykamp Director of Science Experiences from the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science will be on hand with The Science of Cold/Liquid Nitrogen Show.

I have seen this. Your kids will get a HUGE kick out of it.

There will be treat bags and refreshments and, of course, the ENORMOUS balloon drop at noon! Over a thousand of them.
