Special Olympics Kentucky has cooked (or baked) up a good reason to spend the morning of Valentine's Day in downtown Owensboro.  February 14th marks the annual Polar Bear Plunge, which will take place for the first time at Mitch McConnell Plaza.  But this year, in addition to shaking up the Plunge, Special Olympics is bringing a new event to town to go with it.  It's the Donut Dash 5K.  Yep!  It's a 3.1-mile run through downtown Owensboro that allows you to collect donuts as you go!  Check this out!

Registration for the Donut Dash 5K is underway.  Cost is just $25 per person in advance and $35 on race day.  Of course, the proceeds benefit Special Olympics Kentucky.  And we have to thank our amazing donut sponsor- The Rolling Pin!  They're gonna be baking up hundreds of donuts that runners/walkers will be rewarded with as they reach mile markers along the course.
