This Sunday, the Sprint Cup Series rolls into Martinsville for the Goody's Fast Relief 500.  You, of course, can catch exclusive coverage right here on WBKR beginning at Noon CST.  Race fans are hoping for a thrilling finish like they got last Sunday at Auto Club Speedway, where Kevin Harvick seized the lead on the final lap and took the checkered flag.  But, over the last few years, Martinsville has been dominated by just two drivers, who look to take the suspense out of this year's race and dominate again.

Since 2007, Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin have dominated the Goody's Fast Relief 500.  Johnson took the victory laps in 2007 and 2009 and Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag in 2008 and again last year!  Of course, we're talking about the two drivers who drove down to the wire in last year's Sprint Cup Championship and thrilled NASCAR fans who'd been waiting for years for the "Chase" to really be a chase!

So far this year, Johnson is already a contender for the 2012 title (SHOCKER!!!!).  He's currently 5th in the Sprint Cup standings and is just 14 points out of first place.  Hamlin has struggled some early this season and currently sits in 21st place.  That said, he's just a mere 75 points out of the first (thanks to the new scoring system).   Make no mistake, he'll be looking to really "start his engine" this weekend at Martinsville where he has a strong track record!

So, the stage is set for Martinsville as NASCAR rolls into Ridgeway, Virginia.  And don't forget . . . we have your chance to win tickets to this weekend's race here at WBKR.  Keep watching the WBKR Facebook page for exciting NASCAR trivia that can snag you tickets!
