The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra presents — The Magic of Christmas
December brings the annual Holiday Concert, titled The Magic of Christmas this year. It’s on December 9 at 3:00 p.m., at RiverPark Center and tickets start at just $18.
Highlights include our sensational soloist Laurie Gayle Stephenson (pictured), who performed the fabulous role of Christine on Broadway in Phantom of the Opera. Laurie Gale will be singing many favorites of the season.
In addition, the superb Owensboro Symphony Chorus and Kentucky Youth Chorale as well as the Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform. And to top it off, you get to join in during our Carol Sing-along!
Debbie Reynolds at the Orchestra tells us, “We are bringing back our children’s parade from last year, which was a huge hit. Children will parade across the stage to the strains of March of the Toys from Toyland and drop off a gift for needy children then join the OSO in Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride” She adds we even provide the jingle bells!
The donated toys will be distributed to deserving boys and girls in our area. No need to gift wrap, that way we all get to enjoy the presents as they drop into the box! What a great way to teach our children the value of giving in this holiday season.
This concert will raise your spirit and leave you with memories to cherish all winter long!
The generous sponsors for the concert are: Independence Bank & Sunrise Children Services and Hafer Associates.
