The Top Ten: Chad Ranks His Friends’ Halloween Costumes 2016 [Photos]
My annual tradition of ranking my friends' Halloween costumes continues! And here are my picks for the Top Ten Halloween Costumes for 2016. I have some superbly creative friends and they rocked it out again this year!
HONORABLE MENTION- THE FLAPPERS
Brett Roberts bachelorette party happened to coincide with Halloween weekend. So, she and her friends decided to tackle NashVegas in costume. And the result? Sixteen fabulous flappers!
#10- JACKIE BROWN
Jackie Brown, from 44 News, rocked out her Cleopatra costume.
#9 TIE- JENNIFER FULKERSON-COHRON
Hey there, Little Red Riding Hood. You sure are lookin' good! I love this and the fact that Jennifer was rocking this look out at her job in the floral department at Kroger at Wesleyan Park Plaza!
#9 TIE- MARK & MISTY O'BRYAN MILLER
I love a good 80's throwback! And this hilarious Halloween tribute to Hall and Oates makes me wanna bust out into "Maneater" or "Private Eyes" or, yes! Even "Method of Modern Love!"
#8- AMY VETTER
Mentioned NashVegas earlier and it comes up again! My friend Amy Vetter, from Nashville, rocked out her Beetlejuice costume and snagged top prize at her Halloween Spooktacular.
#7- JEB MEDLEY
Timing is everything. And Jeb Medley capitalized on the season premiere of The Walking Dead with his tribute to Negan and his trusty baseball bat, Lucille. This depiction is spot on and Jeb is a near dead ringer for Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
#6- SJK & DRE
Here's a twist on the walking dead. Shawn Jennings Kohrs and his husband Dre decided to put a twist on the "ghost bride" concept. Both the husband and bride are walking . . . or hovering . . . down the aisle.
#5- TARA NOEL ESTES
Tara Estes is a huge fan of some of the biggest icons in music. And, appropriately, she decided to pay tribute to his purple majesty this Halloween. Her Prince has us bathing in the Purple Rain!
#4- LISA DUVALL
Lisa has topped this list before and she is always a lock for it. Lisa Duvall is a master (or mistress) of makeup. Her work on local horror films is unparalleled and she shines anytime Halloween rolls around. This an apple you definitely do NOT want to eat!
#3- SAMMY TANNER
My friend Sammy's drag alter ego, Patti Melt, is literally one of my favorite things ever. She only makes a couple appearances a year, but when Patti comes out to play, everyone gets to live her fantasy. She is fierce, fabulous, fun and fiery. One look and you will MELT!
#2- SCOTT MITCHELL
Scott and I go WAY back. When we were in college, we used to work with each other at The Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Louisville. Since that time, he has absolutely mastered Halloween. And he and his wife stole the show this year with their tribute to How the Grinch Stole Christmas! And, needless to say, they took home a massive costume contest trophy in Louisville!
#1- THE BROOKE MORRIS BIG MAC
The most creative costume of the season. Brooke Morris and Robin Beatty cut and sewed the elements of the McDonald's Big Mac for days leading up to the annual Morris Halloween Party. And it paid off. This is the "Big Mac" on my annual Halloween Top Ten list. Brooke is ketchup and mustard. And she's joined by other family members who make up other parts of famous burger. The funniest part of the costume? When the jumped on top of each other to form Big Mac. LOL!!
Huge shout out to all my friends who made this year's list! Unbelievable creativity and work!
