We just had our first measurable snow of 2016 and, though it was relatively minor (just 1 to 3 inches of accumulation), schools around the tristate were closed and some remain closed today.  But, who remembers this time last year?  We were gearing up for what was to be a rough, snowy and brutally cold winter by the tristate standards.  The National Weather Service has released the Top 10 Weather Events of 2015 and six of them happened in the first three months.  And they include two major snow events (Winter Storm Thor, anyone?)
