Okay, let me back up a second. I saw this headline and I HAD to find out what the heck an "unstable clown party" is? On first glance, and I'm not afraid of clowns (like some people we know), but an unstable clown? Eh, I don't think so! In reality, this is an informal Louisville neighborhood event which pokes fun at the star-studded parties on Derby weekend.

So, ten years ago, Stephanie Barnett lived on Speed Avenue which is around the corner from the annual Barnstable Brown Party. She and her friends were just hanging out, watching the various limos go by and they kept thinking their invitations got lost in the mail. Fast forward nine years, and Barnett has been joined by about 125 guests who basically hang out, there's live music, a potluck, and drink. Basically, they harmlessly taunt the big wigs heading to the big party and some have even stopped!

Here's the odd, but cool part, the Unstable Clown Party always makes its way up to the big party, where they collect money for various local charities.

I'm hoping Jaclyn Graves can investigate! LOL! She will be broadcasting live at Churchill Downs Friday at the Oaks and Saturday at the 141st Kentucky Derby! Tune in and be sure to check out all the action here at wbkr.com!
