This week in the County Schools

For the rest of the week, here is what is happening at the Daviess County Public Schools.

Burns Elementary,  4514 Goetz Drive

Tuesday,

At the  Art Club from 2:30 - 3:30-, the club members will continue working on a crayon mural/mosaic, which will be displayed within the school.

At 2:30 – 3:30 the Technology Club members will be editing their newscast for the next upcoming Bobcat Bash.

Wednesday,

It’s Spirit Day. Students and staff will show school pride by wearing Burns colors and/or Burns attire to school.

The Percussion Ensemble will be 2:30-3:30. The 4^th and 5^th grade students who auditioned will begin their first rehearsal after school.

Country Heights Elementary , 4961 Kentucky

Thursday

At  11:00  the Leadership Luncheon will be held. A leader from each classroom attends representing their class.  Students eat lunch, participate in a special activity, and listen to a guest speaker.

The Ranger Rally Assembly is at 8am and the Academic Team 2:30-3:30pm

Thursday

It’s Deer Park Elementary Club t-shirt day!

Christ Club meets 2:30-3:15pm

SHINE Card students will be awarded for great attendance, behavior and homework. Then, they will be invited to “Bubble gum fun”,  for a bubble blowing contest!

Friday

It’s the Celebration of Learning at 8:00am.  4th and 5^th graders will be recognized for their performance on the K-PREP test in the spring with medals and trophies.

At 4:30-6:30 the boys Basketball team takes on Owensboro Middle School

At half-time of the 7^th grade game, the BMS Jump Rope Team will be performing

4:30-7:30 the Regional Governor’s Cup Competition continues in future problem solving and composition)

Friday, students who have met math and reading benchmarks will be released early.

Dismissal time is 1:15pm.  This is the first of two early releases remaining for the school year.  Parents should pick up students on the side of the building (parent pick up/drop off area) and also the front of the building.
