I don't know how they do it, but they certainly DO IT with uncommon frequency. I'm talking about those annoying robocalls that I get all the time from a wide variety of area codes.

I've been getting them for years and I just don't answer if I don't recognize the area code. But maybe I should have in order to see if it was something called Resort Marketing Group offering me a great deal on a cruise.

Apparently, it's illegal for this outfit to be calling on behalf of the various cruise lines that are involved...and we're talking about big ones like Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean.

But here's the thing...there's a website that lets you know if your number is part of a lawsuit.

It's a class action suit called Charvat v. Resort Marketing Group, and if this company called you, you could be entitled to as much as $900 in a settlement.

I entered my phone number and I'm not part of this settlement, as it turns out.

(That begs the question, "Who are all these weirdos trying to call me, then?" But that's a story for another day.)

You should check it out. The calls in question happened between 2009 and 2014.

Good luck.
